I eat at a ton of different Mexican/Tex-Mex restaurants in Cincinnati because it’s one of my favorite types of foods. El Jinete on Red Bank is miles ahead of any of the others. The food is as fresh as it gets compared to the others. The quality of their seafood is impressive and delicious. To top it all off, their management and customer service in general is top notch. This is a real review, the food is that good. Everything I’ve had on the menu has been excellent but if you love seafood, get the burrito marina (spelling may not be correct).

Friendly staff, grilled chicken and onions, as well as the guac tasted fresh. Food was very good. Will go back!

Lunch special enchiladas verdes. No extras but the plate had plenty on it ;) Verdes had a nice tang to it and chicken was very moist. I will be back again.

I've never gone there in the two years that I've gone there and never had anything but great food 😁 and service. When I remember to bring coupons I'll save five dollars on one meal. How can you beat that.

My absolute favorite restaurant in Cincinnati. Always fresh and always delicious! They're carnitas are THE BEST. Get the gold margarita. Mmm! I've been coming here since they opened many years ago. We always celebrate my birthday and many other family members here!

Classic Mexican comfort food-- YUM! Fantastic fresh salsa with lots of onion and cilantro, white queso, and strong margs. Doesn't get better than that! The cheese enchiladas are gooey with cheese and drenched in the white queso and the portions are huge.

Did not like the refried beans. Too creamy for me. The cheese quesadilla was really cheesy. They use a spanish cheese. Not like mozzarella so it is very heavy. Tastes close to authentic tho. So Ill give it another try & try another dish.

If you are looking for authentic Mexican food in a classic setting this is the place. As always a very peaceful and hospitable service that accommodates immaculate dishes how can you go wrong. Great place for a family dinner or just a bite to eat. If you haven't ate at this staple of Mexico you are missing out Thanks again for the beautiful meal and service.Well worth the 💲💲 and not a budget buster.

Not only is El Jinete’s food, drink, and service amazing but the are also taking every precaution during covid. As I’m sitting at the bar, an employee is sterilizing every menu, everything was sanitized before being seated and all employees are wearing mask. Fast, friendly, and CLEAN! Will definitely be coming back!

Nice interior and the staff were friendly. Slightly confused as to whether we paid at table or up front. Ended up paying up front, which was fine. I got the burrito and cheese enchiladas. Tasted fine, although I like more spice in my food and it was a bit bland. I ended up putting salsa on my meal for spice, which is odd, but worked. The fries are curly fries and the steak was ok, but they don't ask you how you like it cooked. Came out we'll done, but not overly so. The salad was a disappointment - too much white onion and it resembled more of what you get on the side with fajitas than a salad. Still, good food and a nice experience so we will probably go back.

A fabulous little gem with wonderful staff and customer service. The restaurant itself is always very clean with an authentic atmosphere. The food is very good, with ample portions. The waitstaff keeps your chips and salsa well-stocked, and your glass is always full. Don't go there on a Friday night unless you are prepared to wait, especially if there is a kid's sports team in Residence. There are plenty of large screen TVs at every turn for the sports aficionados. They also have some seating off to the side Outdoors, but it is rather small and located too close to the traffic flow for my tastes. I have taken advantage of calling an order in and picking up on many an occasion. The staff is so wonderful, they will remember you if you visit on a regular basis and take very good care of you.

The banana sangria looked like applesauce in a cup, but it was delicious nonetheless.

Coming from San Diego California where no other place beats Mexican food. El jinete is worth eating there 100%. Love love love love love their tortas. Enchiladas are very filling and their rice and beans look like are made in house and I love them for that. It's not hard to make Mexican rice and refried beans and they really look like they don't cut corners with the simplest side dishes. As weird as it sounds, that for me is a deciding factor if it's good. Thanks El jinete for being quick, delicious, and on point.

I got the steak and shrimp plate... the steak was very disappointing! Paper thin and all fat. My son got a steak burrito it looked and tasted way better.
